What a difference three months can make… In that short time, the Eurasian watermilfoil (EWM) spread like wildfire. As you can see by the diagram to the right, the two initial spots grew rapidly and covered most of the lagoon. Efforts were made to remove the EWM to prevent the further spread. The cleanup fund was depleted to perform the removal of 1,666 pounds of EWM. Just imagine how quickly it could spread if it gets to other parts of our lake.
